RAQ Ciera (pronounced "Keer-rah") Argyle (AHCA Reg #64647) means "dark and shadowy" and she is that. She was born 29Jul2022 out of RAQ Iongnadh Argyle and RAQ Donnan Argyle. Her undercoat is very dark. She's being registered as a brindle, but it is possible her adult color will be much closer to her dam than her sire. She's is pictured here with her dam. She'll be making her new home in Big Sandy, TX at the Poe's ranch! Iongnadh and first born, summer 2022

Born on 27Dec2020, RAQ Eilidh Wallace, is a registered red Highland heifer (reg number 62158), out of SPF Sarah Wallace and RAQ Donnan Argyle. The first photo is Eilidh as a 2 month old, and the second is her on 11Jun2022. She moved to Round Rock with her half brother, Iain.

Born on 20Mar2021, RAQ Iain Wallace is a red bull calf out of SPF Emilie Wallace and RAQ Donnan Argyle. He's shedding out in the picture, so his coat is rather unkempt at the moment. He moved to Round Rock to keep his half-sister company.

Born on 15Feb2018, RAQ Cailean Wallace (pronounced "Caw-lin, and means "brown") is a brindle male out of Emilie and MacTavish.
(His baby coat is red, but you can see the brindling underneath, especially on his face.) Cailean is pictured below with his brother Walter. These two are almost always together! Now that Walter has left to go to his new home, we thought we'd have a better chance of getting a picture of Cailean by himself.(All we have been able to get are pictures of his rear end as he hightails it across the pasture. He's being quite shy for the paparrazzi!) Cailean will be heading home to Stillwater, OK on the Brzozowske ranch.

Born on 12Jul2017, RAQ Aodh Wallace is a brindle male out of Sarah and MacTavish.
(His baby coat was red, and as it has shed out he's turned into a beautiful dark brindle.) 'Hugh' is registered with the AHCA (Reg #57824).
His first photo was as a baby, the second and third ones are him at nearly 7 months old.
He went to his new home at the Burns' ranch in Athens, TX as a fuzzy Christmas present.

***************

Born on 23Feb2018, RAQ Walter Scott is a brindle male out of Fiona and MacTavish.
(His baby coat was red, but he had a dark nose which usually means there is a brindle underneath all the fluff. As he matured, that proved to be true.) Walter went to his new home with the Nelson family as an early Christmas present!

***************

Born on 18Feb2017, RAQ Feargas Wallace is a handsome black bull out of Emilie and MacTavish.
'Fergus' is pictured here with his mother at a little over 6 months of age.
He is heading to Arkansas with Edwin and Cathy Nichols!

***************

Born on 26Feb2017, RAQ Aonghus Buchanan is a brindle bull out of Ceana and MacTavish.
'Angus' is pictured here with his mother on 04Sep.
His registration with the AHCA is pending. He is being weaned and is ready to go to his new home at the Webster's!

Born on 26Feb2017, RAQ Aileas Scott (reg # 56893) is a beautiful brindle heifer out of Fiona and MacTavish.
'Alice' is pictured here with her mother in early September, cooling off in the shade.
She has being weaned and went to her new home with Nancy Wood in Waco, Tx. Her sale is pending.

Born on 16Apr2016, RAQ Bridgit Scott is a beautifulbrindle heifer out of Fiona and MacTavish. In the first picture, she's about 4 1/2 months old (and has her aunt Heather in the background). The second picture was taken on 04Feb2017 as she's showing off her cute horn nubs. She's moved to her new home with the Montgomery family in Granbury, TX.

Born on 17Jun2015, we have RAQ Brenna Argyle. Proud parents are Heather and MacTavish. She is a beautiful black heifer. Her baby coat has started shedding out so in person it looks lighter, but she will remain black. In this picture, she's about a day old. She'll be heading to her new home with the Bracco family in Valley Mills, TX as soon as she's weaned (and TX weather lets the pasture dry out enough to support a truck and trailer).

Born on 13May2015, we have RAQ Niall Buchanan. (Pronounced NEE-ull, and means "champion".) Proud parents are Ceana and MacTavish. As he sheds out the remainder of this baby coat, the brindling underneath shows through. He will look a lot like his father as an adult. (A few more pictures are below with his brother Latharn.)

Born on 20May2015, we have RAQ Latharn Scott. (Pronounced Lay-urn, it means "fox"). Proud parents are Fiona and MacTavish. As his baby coat is shedding out, the underlying dark brindle is showing through. (He's the slightly smaller and darker brother.) He and his half brother are never far apart. They are also rather camera shy and I get to see the rear view (a lot!). Their big brother, "Cheeseball", is pictured with them in the middle picture. Niall and Lathern are going to the Pictland Ranch in Farmersville, TX to live with the Pearson clan.

Born on 29Jan2015, we have RAQ Failbhe (pronounced FAL-uh-vuh and means lively or spritely) Wallace. Proud parents are Sarah and MacTavish. She was originally listed as a male. This was an embarassing case of mistaken identity: lots of hair can look like little boy parts! (Especially when you can't catch them to double check! She lives up to her name of "lively".) It wasn't until she peed right in front of me that I was sure of my mistake! She's a solid red, and will likely look a lot like her mother as an adult. Note that she (like her mother) carry the "crop ear" gene. She has a slight notch in her ears.
The first picture was taken on 06Feb2015 when she was about a week old. The second picture was take in late June. (It was nearly dusk when the picture was taken. She's not quite that dark red in bright daylight.) She went home with RAQ Càise Cnag Wallace.

Born on 20Mar2015, we have RAQ Càise Cnag Wallace. (Literally translated as "Cheese Ball".) Proud parents are Emilie and MacTavish. He's now a lighter red, and will likely remain a solid red. He will be gracing the pasture of the Buis family of Rockwall, TX and probably will be spoiled by their granddaughter! This picture was taken on 10Apr2015 when he was about a three weeks old.

Both Hamish and Corc will be moving to the Nance fold in Canton, TX. Born on 30Jan2014, we have RAQ Hamish Scott. Proud parents are Fiona and MacTavish. He started red, but is now a nice brindle like his parents. Pictured are Hamish as a new-born, 3 months, and 9 months old.

Hamish, one day old Hamish, 3 months old Hamish, Sept

Born on 13Feb2014, we have RAQ Corc Wallace. He's out of Sarah and MacTavish, and has darkened to a nice red. Pictured here he is 2 months and 7 months old. Now at 10 months, he's starting to show some brindling!

Corc, 2 months old Corc, Sep

Born on 15March2014, we have RAQ Dubhghall (pronounced Doo-gall, and means dark stranger) Argyle. This marvelous black boy is out of Heather and MacTavish. With mom a dun, dad a brindle, and him black...he'll bring a lot of color to your fold! He has departed for his new life with the Clarks at CircleDoubleCRanch, and is making the place feel homey for Beatris' arrival after Christmas!

Dubhghall, one day old Dubhghall, one month old Dubhghall, one month old

Born on 08July2014, we have RAQ Beitris Buchanan. This pretty little red girl is out of Ceana and MacTavish. She's a fiesty little thing. The first time I saw her, she was running circles around her older brothers. She's been a real challenge to get a picture of! She joins Dubhghall right around the new year.

Beitris, 2 months old

RAQ Roidh Wallace (pronounced "Roy", and means "reddish") was born on 05May2013 out of Emilie and MacTavish. This handsome young man was born red, but is now a beautiful brindle like his father. He'll be a great herd bull, and with the brindle and black of his parents, he should throw a variety of colors. The baby picture of him and his mother was taken on 31May (almost 4 weeks old), and the later ones taken on 31Jan14 (almost 9 months old). He'll be moving to the Beddow fold in Tioga, TX with his brother, Laise.

Roy, 31May2013 Roy, 31Jan2014 Roy, 31Jan2014

This solid red boy is RAQ Laise Buchanan (pronounced "LASH-ah", and means "flame"). He was born on 29May2013 out of Ceana and MacTavish. His baby pictures were taken on 31May (2 days old) and the later ones taken on 31Jan (8 months old).

Laise, 31May2013 Laise, 31May2013 Laise, 31Jan2014

RAQ Gillebhrighde Scott ("Gil-lu-bree-juh", which means "Servant of Saint Brigid") was born on 01Feb2013 out of Fiona and MacTavish. (Since his birthday is St. Brigid's day it seemed an appropriate name. The modern equivalent to his name is "Gilbride".) He is a solid red , and there is some brindling seen on his face. Both his mother and father are brindle, and his full brother (Aodhan, on the "Sold" page) was light red as a baby. Whether Gillebhrighde will be solid red or a red brindle will be decided when his baby coat is shed out. He should be ready to go to his new home with the Wiley Family and their Double Yew Family Farm in Waco, TX in August.

Gillebhrighde at 2 wks old I'm talking, you listen!

RAQ Friseal Wallace ("free-shul", which means "strawberry") was born on 20Jan2013 out of Sarah and MacTavish. He is a solid red. He's rather shy, and tends to stay very close to his mother. (He's almost one month old in this photo.) He's got a pale pink nose, so when he sheds his baby coat, he will likely look like his mother. He should be ready to go to his new home on the Merts ranch in late June or early July.

Friseal at 1 month old

RAQ a'Mhaigh Argyle ("ah-may") was born on 07Dec2012 out of Heather and MacTavish. She's currently a solid red. With her pale nose, I think she'll stay red, but we'll know more as her baby coat sheds out. She's calm, and inquisitive. (After her close up picture, I got licked.) She should be ready to go to her new home with Dawn French (and where her half sister Skeigh is waiting for her) in June.

a'Maigh at 2 months I'm ready for my closeup

RAQ Aodhan Scott ("ay-dan", from the old Irish name Áed, which meant "fire") was calved on 11Feb2012 out of Fiona and MacTavish. He was solid red as a baby, and now that he's shed out his baby coat, you can see dark brindling in his coat like his father. At 9 months old, he's only about 36 inches at the shoulder. While we cannot guarantee his full adult size, all indications are that he will be a very small highlander - possibly even a miniature. While he has not been handled, he is not skittish and is quite calm. His last photo shows him at 1 year old. He's just a tad bigger than his half-sister who was born in December! He went to his new home in New Waverly, Tx to be a superstar at Two Creek Farm. Once he figures out that people give treats and head scratches, he'll know he's in heaven!

Aodhan Aodhan Aodhan, Sept 2012 Aodhan, Feb 2013

RAQ Skeigh Argyle ("skay", which means "shy") was calved on 05Sep2011 out of Heather and MacTavish. This black girl(and not quite as shy as she used to be) went to her new home on Dawn French's ranch in Emory, Texas on November 17th, 2012.

North Texas had a record snowfall in 2010: over 10 inches of snow fell on Feb 11th and 12th. On the morning of the 12th, Fiona and MacTavish had this red bull calf. We've named him Sneachda (pronounced shnock-da, and it means "snow") Scott. He left on Thanksgiving day with his half-brother to live at the Frank Hughes ranch in Henrietta, TX.

SNOW! Can't I sleep in peace?

Emilie and MacTavish had this little bull calf on May 12th. He got his coloring from dad, and his white-tipped tail and belly from mom. We've named him Ailpein (pronounced "Al-pen", which means "white") Wallace. He left on Thanksgiving day with his half-brother to live at the Frank Hughes ranch in Henrietta, TX.

Dughlas (pronounced doo-lus, meaning "black water") Argyle is out of Heather and MacTavish and was born on 04 Jul 2009. His winter coat had a distinct reddish cast to it, with a black base. Now that he's shed that out, he is a luscious black. He will be calling the Coble HIghland Ranch of Henryetta, OK his new home.

Dughlas Dughlas, almost 5 months Dughlas as a yearling

Brandubh (pronounced bran-dooh, and it means "black raven") Wallace is out of Emilie and MacTavish. He was born on 08 Feb 2009 and is black, with his mothers white belly spot. He will be quite a wonderful looking bull, and while he started a Texan he's now an Okie! David and Mickey Blitz of Okmulgee, OK are his new proud owners.

Caoime (pronounced kee-va, and it means "beautiful") Wallace is red heifer is out of Sarah and MacTavish. She was born on 25 Mar 2009 and is making her new home with Sid and J-Burd Ellis of Cleburne, TX. She was quite camera shy, and the one time we managed to get a photo, she was, well, using the bathroom. Poor baby...immortalized on the internet that way! Hopefully her new family will get less embarrassing photos.
